The Educator Coach, Laura Freeman, Ed.D.
Empowering Educators & School Leaders
During my 33 years in public education in a variety of roles and leadership positions, I had the opportunity to work with hundreds of educators through coaching and mentoring. Unfortunately, there was very little central office support for struggling teachers and leaders. Educators with whom I worked did not have coaches to guide them through the daily grind, especially in challenging schools. Furthermore, there is no training specific to Title I to prepare educators for the nuances of working with high percentages of children from disadvantaged homes. Research has proven just how valuable coaching is for educators and with a steady decline of college students pursuing careers in education, it is crucial to help those currently in the trenches!
